Thursday morning, we got up early and packed up for our two-day road trip back to La Mirada.
This is the view after crossing the continental divide along route 160.
We stopped by the Four Corners Monument. It's 2.5 miles from the confluence of 37 N & 109 W, but it still marks the official boundary of the four states (see the Wikipedia Article about this).
We arrived at our camp site at Mather Campground in Grand Canyon National Park after 10 p.m. The next morning we got up and saw the canyon from Yavapai Point. We attended a 15-minute talk about geology. Adam took a geology class this summer, so on the whole trip he was pointing out interesting geological features.
The last meal of our trip. Same parking lot as where we started. This time, we ate a late lunch at Bob's Big Boy. The place mat says it all.
